German Roadtrip ...

It was a long weekend in Holland so we rented a car and drove down to Germany ... down on the westside via Maastricht, Liege and Luxembourg ... then up the windy Moselle from Trier and a little way down the Rhine to St. Goar ... then back up the eastside via the Nürburgring and the speedy Autobahn to get home ... 1300 kilometers exactly !


Driving the Mosel/Moselle Valley ...

While in Germany we took the opportunity to drive up the Mosel Valley. It was a beautiful drive through the vineyards and castles ...

Nordschliefe in a Viper ...

Last weekend we went to Germany and visited the world famous Nürburgring and the infamous Nordschliefe or North Ring. We took a ride in the Zakspeed Viper ... this is expensive but I have to say was worth every penny. It took 8 mins to get round and the GPS showed an average speed of 141 kph! You'll notice there is a section in the middle where the trees lost the signal but on the whole this is a good track ...
