LCY-AMS ...

LCY-AMS in a plane ... the track is colourised by altitude ... quite interesting really !!!

No tulips ...

We went to go and cycle through the bulb fields but when we got to Haarlem the raillway was closed :-( Instead we cycled back to Amsterdam ...

West and South ...

It seems like the summer came already with the mercury hitting 25 ! What better to do than take the boat for a loop of the city ... I never noticed before but the marine base in the top right of the map is pixelated by the government !!!

Dutch Rail Journey ...

To get back from the blossom walk we took the train from Beesd east and then south to Geldermalsen and then north to Utrecht and Amsterdam ... the line is very straight until you hit the capital ...

Linge Blossom Walk

The blossom is out so we travelled to Leerdam in Holland to do the Linge Blossom Walk along th banks of the River Linge ... It was a beautiful sunny day and the first signs of the blossom were beautiful ...

 

Apenheul and back ...

Today I got to go on a mystery tour ... I took the trusty GPS so I'd know where I'd been ... we actually went tothe Apenheul Primate Park near Apeldoorn ... it was excellent !!!

The tracks show the direct route there on the motorway followed by a scenic trip back through Flevoland ..


 

Get the car ...

Today we got a hire car ... I took the Vespa out to the airport to pick up it up ...

1st boat trip of the year ...

Spring really is here and today it was warm enough to get the boat out ... a quick jaunt around Prinseneiland, the Herengracht, Reguliersgracht and Prinsengracht was in order and thoroughly enjoyable ...

 

To the goats ...

Saturday, the sun is out ... what better to do than go to the Bos to see the goats at the Geitenboerderij :-)
